What We Need
The Director of Security will build and lead GreenBox security program across a growing network of automated distribution facilities. As a regional leader, this role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive security strategies, hiring and managing third-party security providers, and establishing protocols that ensure employee safety, asset protection, and operational continuity. The Director will also lead a team of Security Managers and serve as the key point of contact for incident response, training, and site compliance.
GreenBox* is pioneering warehousing-as-a-service, offering outsourced warehousing operations, and specializing in automated warehousing solutions. Our focus is on the efficient movement of goods in cases and pallets across all sectors, such as wholesale, retail, and general merchandising.

What You’ll Do
Develop and implement GreenBox security strategy across all warehouse and distribution facilities.
Build and lead a team of on-site Security Managers—one per GB site—to oversee local execution of corporate security standards.
Hire, manage, and evaluate third-party security vendors for on-site coverage, including guardhouse operations and employee entrance management.
Design and implement security procedures, access control protocols, and incident response workflows.
Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with corporate and legal standards.
Lead investigations of theft, vandalism, safety breaches, and other incidents in partnership with site operations and HR.
Provide security-related training and awareness programs to all site-level employees, contractors, and visitors.
Establish emergency preparedness plans, escalation protocols, and collaboration frameworks with various departments
Monitor and report on security KPIs and risk assessments across all facilities.
Serve as a subject matter expert for site design input related to fencing, lighting, surveillance systems, and access control infrastructure.
Work closely with Legal, Safety, and Operations to align security policy with broader risk management efforts.
What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, or a related field (required)
7+ years of progressive experience in corporate or industrial security, preferably within distribution, logistics, or manufacturing environments
Proven success designing and scaling multi-site security programs
Experience managing third-party security firms and vendor contracts
Familiarity with electronic surveillance, access control systems, and investigative procedures
Strong knowledge of OSHA and local/state security and safety regulations
Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence across field operations and corporate teams
Comfortable working in a high-growth, fast-paced environment with evolving processes and priorities
Ability to handle sensitive information and incidents with discretion and professionalism
Other Considerations
Travel up to 50% required
The employee is routinely required to work at heights of up to 45 feet and within restrictive areas of 24 inches. to stand; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Must comply with all safety requirements and protocols, including without limitation Lock out tag out safety protocols and fall protection safety protocols.
Approximately 75% of time will be spent on a construction site with PPE required (hard hat, safety vest, steel toes, eyeglasses, ear protection, fall protection (e.g., safety harness)
There will be steep stairs to climb into the structure You may be required to routinely walk up and down stairs to navigate the automation structure.
You will regularly be near railings that are high off the ground
Subject to environmental conditions, protection from weather conditions but not necessarily temperature changes. Must be capable of working in temperatures ranging from 105° to 32° Fahrenheit.
