About the Role
We are seeking a customer facing, experienced, dynamic and technically skilled Customer Success & Technical Support Engineer to join our team in the Industrial Wireless Automation sector. This hybrid role combines technical support and sales engineering responsibilities, serving as a critical bridge between our customers, sales team, and product/engineering teams. The ideal candidate will ensure customer satisfaction, drive technical adoption, and support business growth through expert consultation and hands-on engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for post-sales customer issues, ensuring timely resolution of technical challenges
- Provide remote and on-site support for commissioning, troubleshooting, and integrating industrial automation solutions (e.g., IIoT, wireless systems, PLCs, sensors, robotics)
- Guide customers through onboarding, configuration, and best practices to ensure successful adoption
- Conduct product training sessions and create technical documentation, FAQs, and knowledge base articles.
- Monitor customer health and usage metrics to proactively address potential issues and drive long-term satisfaction and retention
- Partner with sales representatives to understand customer requirements and deliver tailored technical presentations and product demonstrations
- Translate technical features into business benefits to support the value proposition of the solution
- Take part in the development of technical proposals, solution architectures, and proof-of-concept deployments
- Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities based on customer needs and system design
- Attend trade shows, customer meetings, and field visits to support strategic sales and marketing initiatives
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Be certified as one of the following: Engineer / Electrical & Control Engineer / Electronics / Computers
- At least 3 years of experience in industrial automation, control systems, or industrial IoT
- Proven experience in both technical customer support and sales engineering roles
- Familiarity with industrial protocols (e.g., PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, IO-Link, Modbus), PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and sensors – advantage
- Experience with wireless industrial communication (e.g., IO-Link Wireless, industrial Wi-Fi, BLE) – advantage
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, customer-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Capable of working both independently and with a team (work from home)
- Willing and able to travel domestically within North America (30%-50%)
